Growth on Dry Ground: The Story of Sierra Send

The Copper Canyon is a mountainous region of northern Mexico that contains some of the most spectacular and rugged scenery in the nation. These cliffs and valleys are home to the Tarahumara people, an indigenous community renowned for their athletic abilities as long-distance marathoners. Sadly, the Tarahumara experience a great deal of suffering from drought and disease. Many families live in small huts or caves without access to running water, electricity or the opportunity to hear the story of God in their own language. Navigating the rocky cliffs to reach remote communities presents a logistical challenge for aid workers and church planters.

Even in the midst of this harsh terrain, Sierra Send is seeing miraculous growth as God’s word is shared by Tarahumara believers to their own people! Check out the following video to see the story of Sierra Send and learn how God is at work reaching the Tarahumara.
